erased macintosh hd - data Volume Group

hi,

i was trying to reset my laptop to factory setting, and i accidentally deleted macintosh HD - data Volume Group.

now i cannot re-install mac os x because i don't have any disk to install it to.

attached is what my screen currently look like.

would appreciate all your help.

Deleted Macintosh HD from Disk Utility Hello, I really need your help. I’m about to sell my MacBook (MacBook pro late 2013 15 inch) and I wanted to clear everything. I made the big mistake of deleting Macintosh HD. I was supposed to just erase it and delete the Macintosh HD - Data but I deleted them all. Now I cannot reinstall MacOS because it does not see a drive to install it on. I’ve seen similar questions online, but everyone seems to have a newer version and I cannot find the same options. Does anyone know if my hard disk can be restored?

Accidentally deleted Macintosh HD from disk utility I wanted to factory reset my 2015 MacBook and in the YouTube video I watched they suggested to erase Macintosh HD from the disk utility but now since I’ve done this I can’t install macOS to any internal drives since they’re gone. I was able to download Sierra to a flash drive and been trying every solution I can online to fix this but I don’t have any Time Machine back ups or any other disks (exc.) showing up in the internal section for disk utility nor does it allow me to “view all” as I’ve seen some suggest. Any suggestions would be really appreciated

boot the computer and use disk utility to delete use the - on the volumes. Shows ALL ......Then use + and add the volume you want. Catalina can deal with that....

From Internet Recovery>DiskUtility>View>Show All Device>

Here you will erase/reformat the parent drive, only then proceed to reinstall.

then restore your user form backup.
