I have the same apple ID for two iphones, one mine & one my dads. However they share the same ID , I want to seperate the data on both phones & have my own ID without losing my data.
Is this possible, if so does this mean one of us is going to lose data from one phone whilst the other gets to keep theirs, not sure what to do to be honest.
Any help with this would be very appreciated!

Some of these things will apply to to the new Apple ID even if you are not changing an Apple ID: What to do after you change your Apple ID or password https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204071
Keep in mind that some things available under a first Apple ID will not be available under the new Apple ID. For example, you won’t be able to transfer anything purchased from the App and iTunes Stores to the new ID. And, there are other issues to be addressed. See what
