Catalina & Boot Drive Permissions

Constantly being asked to enter my admin password when opening files or changing the name of files on my boot drive (SSD).... Catalina 10.15.4 (with recent supplemental update) & Mac Pro 6,1

When I get Info on the SSD, I get this:

Opening the lock & clicking on the + icon, my account name appears.

If I click on it, it is highlighted.

But when I click on Select, I get this:

Any suggestions/explanations?

Many thanks!

If you are being asked for permission on files in your home folder, see here: Resolve issues caused by changing the permissions of items in your home folder - Apple Support

If you are having issues with other locations on the drive, then it is probably because those areas are locked down by the security model of Catalina.
