New Mac Book Air - Sound stops working and I have to re-boot

MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2019)

Received as a Christmas gift.

Over the last 3 weeks I've been using my MacBook at lot more due to working from home.

It will be working fine and then all of a sudden there is no sound coming out at all.

  1. It's not on mute (I've tried muting, unmuting, volume up and down)
  2. It's not connected to another device ( It says it's using the in-built speakers)
  3. I've looked at the System Preferences and the output sound is a reasonable volume and coming from the in built speakers.

I have to restart the MacBook in order to fix it for a few days.
