"Drake" songs keep playing on my playlist

How can I stop Drake's music from playing when I'm listening to my playlist? I had one song by Drake that was on the list but deleted in after other songs by him started playing on my playlist. I have completed searches in my library for any reference of Drake, there are zero results. When a Drake song starts to play there is no option to delete/remove from library and no option to add those options. The only option is to dislike the music but that changes nothing. Any suggestions would be helpful. Considering moving to Spotify.

Greetings, BAMuzzy.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are wondering why songs are playing that aren’t in your library. I’d like to provide some resources that may help.

It sounds like you are listening to Radio, rather than your library. Listen to Beats 1 and Radio in the Music app - Apple Support

If that is not the case, please respond with the steps you take to launch your music.

All the best.

First I rarely use Radio as I haven't found a station that suits any of my listening needs. My play list is better than any of the Radio stations. For example i like Blues but the station plays just the old Blues not any of the current Blues artists.

I open the music app, then open library, select the play list, then select shuffle. If the music app does not get closed and the playlist is still selected then i just select play.

Went through my playlist and found a lot of songs with the + on the right side and there was about a dozen Drake songs. I added them to my library and while they were downloading they were removed. Hopefully that helps. Did not enjoy going through 4000 songs, if Drake plays again I'm switching from Apple Music to Spotify.

Hi, BAMuzzy.

Thanks for getting back to me. You mentioned that you tapped the + symbol next to the Drake songs. By tapping that symbol, you would actually be adding those tracks to your library: Add and download music from Apple Music or buy music from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

You mentioned that you removed the tracks while they were downloading. Was this in the past or did you just do this?

Do you have access to any other device? If so, does Apple Music play Drake songs on those devices?

Take care.

The Drake songs were found while scrolling through my playlist and were songs that had previously played randomly while listening to my playlist. The songs were removed as described just before my response. I wish that there was an option to remove the songs from my playlist and/or library but there was no option in the list and the list was not editable to add those options, list is editable with other songs from different artists. When the songs were downloaded then the option to remove was available.

The iPad is typically used for listening to music but the iPhone is also used, so Drake's music definitely plays on the iPad, as far as the iPhone I believe this has happened also but not 100% certain.
