Since upgrade to Catalina my HP Officejet 3830 takes forever to print and won

I reinstalled drivers, tried using Image Capture for scanning - just doesn't work.

The printer is there, on the network, I see it and pinging it works fine.

Printing works once in a while (if at all) and takes forever when it does.

Scanning is absolutely impossible.

I need scanning abilities for work.

Nothing has changed in terms of the printer or network setup other than my upgrading to macOS 10.15.4

Printer / AirPrint


Printers/scanners are typically the first causality in upgrading any OS.

Look for an updated driver if applicable for your HP Officejet 3830 from the Developers website directly.





If it is listed as AirPrint printer, delete the existing printer in


> System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, and add it again, select AirPrint.



Connect an AirPrint printer to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support.
