New ipad pro 2020 - portrait mode

I have the new 2020 Ipad pro - how do I use the portrait features to take a picture of someone else? On the old Ipad and my iphone there is the "reverse camera" icon but not on this new ipad. I love the different lighting etc you get with portrait mode and want to use it to take pictures of other people.

Thanks,

iPad Pro 11-inch Wi-Fi, Cellular

Seriously?...

You didn't do any research before purchasing an expensive iPad Pro?...

Really?...

One of the cameras is a wide depth of field panoramic camera.

The other lens is the for the LIDAR sensor for use with AR and ARKit on the iPad.

If you do not like your iPad Pro, if you have had this iPad Pro for less than 14 days, return it for a full refund and purchase a alternative device/tablet that meets your needs.

BTW, Apple is doing just fine being Apple-centric!

Love the new IPad Pro 2020. Does anyone know the rational that Apple used to cripple ISight camera because it does not allow rear camera portrait mode? Can Apple please make the IPad camera great and include things like full portrait mode?

Pro photographer’s use it everyday for flow and back end but the possibilities are endless with the IPad format. Heck there is even space for a medium format sensor. The large format “viewfinder” offers fun possiblity.

Honestly, why is this NOT a feature. $1000 for a device and it can’t have a simple function that I’m sure isn’t hard for apple to add. I use my iPad to sell vintage clothing online. Until now the iPads cameras were almost useless for good photos unless in nice outdoor daylight. Makes it hard to have a device that does everything you need. But I can always use 3rd party camera app Halide.

As excited as I was to finally get the iPad Pro 2020 I can’t help but feel cheated. The excitement just wasn’t there. Perhaps the COVID era, who knows. Things that are suppose to be simple, sometimes aren’t. Had issues with wifi ( since been resolved🤞) Then clearing my history issues (had to go into settings) Now to find out there is no portrait mode (Except in selfies) Ugh!! Somebody please tell me it gets better and worth the money!

Seriously?

Then why there are more than 1 camera in the rear side? Is it to showcase same like other brands? If iPhone 11Pro has the feature, then why can’t apple’s latest device has it? I wasted my money.. Not only this, neither the pages app nor installed MS Word supports the same features which 5 years old MS Office apps has. Apple must start thinking ‘Apple centric’ to ‘Customer Centric’..
