All notes from "Notes" app have been deleted for no reason!

Hello,

I have recently checked my notes from "Notes" app and I found them all deleted as if it was formatted for no reason! What happened exactly was the this: I opened the notes and it was working fine, I was checking a note then suddenly the app crashed. When I opened it again, everything was gone!!!

My iPhone is 5s

iOS is 9.3.5

iCloud is not synced or let's say disabled and I always keep saving the notes on "On My iPhone" section.

I have really important notes and I really need to retrieve them no matter what, but I have no idea how to do that. I need an urgent help.

I know that I can't restore them without a backup

But I thought if I knew how it disappeared, I would have an idea regarding that

They just disappeared as if its just a cleared cache :(

only one note has disappeared and is not in the recently deleted

I am in the exact same boat. My notes crashed and wouldn’t work and all of a sudden now I have none of my notes that were saved on my iPhone! Hoping apple can fix this!

It has nothing to do with my iCloud, as I have previously stated it has to do with the notes that has been actually saved to my iPhone NOT icloud!

I do use an email to save to iCloud but that’s not what my problem is. My problem is my notes that were saved to my iPhone have disappeared in the notes app however they are still in fact on my iPhone coz I can see them when I do a search however when I press on the note from searching it opens the notes app but they aren’t in the notes app. The issue seems to be the notes app has removed them as they are still stored on my iPhone just not showing in the notes app.

Can you check to see if you are using one of your email accounts to handle notes? It could be that you are using another account and the notes are located there.
