Can't Select Text to Copy and Paste

I contacted them several times. The answer was reinstall the IOS

It can’t be an update fix because if I restart my phone I then see the copy/paste tabs and can copy. But I have to restart in the middle of doing work to get the phone to copy. Mine has nothing to do with apps or Amazon. It’s text messages, fb messenger or anything where I try to copy

I factory reset my phone and it didn’t make any difference. It is an apple issue cause not all the iPhone 11s do it. My daughter has iPhone 11 Pro and her phone does copy and paste fine. I had the same issue with my iPhone 8. If you use iCloud and back your phone up before you factory reset you won’t lose everything

I did not have the issue with my iphone 6 and it began shortly after getting my iphone 11 pro. It's not that I cannot copy from websites, I at times cannot even copy my own text messages or the text of another person or ANYTHING because there is no tab popping up saying copy or paste. The text to be copied turns color, but then there is no tab to allow me to copy. I have to restart my phone each time

I just upgraded from the iPhone 6s to the 11 max pro and have this same exact problem with the amazon app. I can no longer select any text within the app. I am still able to do this with my old phone. I’ve noticed that I have this issue now with a bunch of apps though. The only places that I seem to be able to select text now are in apps that come standard with iPhones. I’ve only had the phone for a day so far, but this is very frustrating. I hope it isn’t a permanent change that was made. I have no idea what possible benefit there could be to it. Hopefully it’s just something that’s been overlooked and can be fixed with an update?

My phone will copy/paste when it's in the moo. If not I have to restart it. Will not copy pages or even my own text messages. Apple says "update" Oh, so that must mean copy paste is a newer feature. After the update is done, they simply cannot find the answer. The next solution will be "restore IOS"

That text can be put in the screen that the operating system cannot select and allow copy from or a field that disallows the last an OS problem. Either the copy/past is brittle or broken, OR the copy/paste system was designed to give the application controls to prevent copy/paste (which is a dumb idea in my mind.). But then the pinch zoom on the iOS phone is also often prevented it screwed up by the application. And that too is an OS Architecture decision.

I have this issue too. My sister does also. This is BS and needs to be fixed ASAP. Unfortunately for me this is a feature that I used 1000 times a day. How do I go back to the previous version of iOS?

I’ve had this issue for several months also but it’s very much app specific. It simply won’t paste text from an email even though the copy and paste function appear and it wants to paste. But if I copy text on a PDF or even internet browser I can paste it in most text apps. Very odd and so annoying as I have to put things on the back burner til I’m on a computer and then transfer texts between phone apps that interface with desktop! I hope apple fixes the bug soon

Perhaps so but the only app I have the problem with is Facebook. Why does it work for some people and not others who have the same phone. I think it’s either apple or facebook
