Apple Music Bluetooth connectivity issues

connecting either iPhone or iPad to a Bluetooth speaker (UE Boom 2) , playing music with Apple Music, initially the music plays but when you switch between songs or pause and play again, suddenly the Bluetooth speakers silence even though the music is playing. Checking whether Bluetooth speakers are properly connected, they are, and checking with Spotify to compare. Problem does not exist with Spotify, only with Apple Music. Now I am considering switching back from Apple Music to Spotify which I subscribed before, as this seems to work more reliably. Any known solution?

I tried playing audio content from other apps, including Spotify, Apple Podcasting app, and Amazon Music, and it all works fine. The problem seems to exist only with the Apple Music App, on either iPad or iPhone. When you play a song and then interrupt to skip to the next song or a different song in another playlist then sometimes, not each and every single time, the new song you clicked on starts playing (you see it is playing in the App) but you don’t hear it on the Bluetooth speakers. When you then pause the song and hit play again, oftentimes the song would suddenly sound. In other cases, even pausing and replaying will not work, but with less frequency of occurrence.
