Bootcamp Windows 10 doesn't shut down

My bootcamp windows 10 will not shut down - it just spins and says 'shutting down'. I've left it overnight and it's still spinning in the morning. Won't restart either, the same thing happens. I've searched these forums and others but can't find a solution.

After a long time playing around, I found that the issue was being caused by iCloud for Windows. I had to deactivate iCloud Drive and the computer will now shut down.

Your USB RF Receiver is the root cause of the issue. You may want to talk to Logitech. They should have a driver update. The USB Receiver should allow the shutdown.

There is a setting on USB related to Power Management. Can you post the current setting? Windows should be allowed to turn off the RF Receiver down, otherwise it will hang during shutdown.

It did shut down that one time, but the issue is still occurring without the Logitech receiver being plugged in. It hasn't been plugged in at all since the successful shutdown.

Do you have any other external peripherals connect to the Mac - except Keyboard/Mouse?

Also my default OS seems to have changed to Windows, is this due to NVRAM/SMC resets?

Are you able to switch to macOS using Bootcamp Control Panel?
