My bootcamp windows 10 will not shut down - it just spins and says 'shutting down'. I've left it overnight and it's still spinning in the morning. Won't restart either, the same thing happens. I've searched these forums and others but can't find a solution.

After a long time playing around, I found that the issue was being caused by iCloud for Windows. I had to deactivate iCloud Drive and the computer will now shut down.
No unknown devices.
Do you have any external peripherals connected to the Mac, except Keyboard/Mouse (wired/wireless)?
I’ve been holding down the power button to turn if off but I’ve always been told it’s bad practice and could be harmful
Remove the USB dongle, run SMC and NVRAM Reset and test with just Magic Keyboard/Mouse.
I have seen issues in the past with Logitech RF Recievers.

Can you set the default OS to be macOS, switch to Windows and try to shutdown Windows.
