Camera doesn't work from browser on windows 10

I've a 2017 MBP, with Windows 10, everything updated.
The camera can work fine from within the native camera app
camera doesn't open from this https://test-it-out.proctoru.com (requirement for an exam I'm about to take)
Camera doesn't open from any number of other such sites like like https://www.onlinemictest.com/webcam-test/ (which suggest it may be some general problem rather than problem with a specific website).
Tried multiple browsers like IE, FireFox, Chrome all fail

Any pointers will really help, I need to take an exam and I don't have access to another computer or an external webcam during a country wide COVID19 lockdown here, thank you.

The first website (ProctorU) works correctly in Firefox on macOS. Do you need to be booted in Windows for your examination?

Thanks for your patience. Here are the flash settings. Flash needs permission to load even time. On allow, the page reloads.

I tried on https://webcamtests.com and also using Apple Photo Booth app, I didn't find the camera flaky.

Yes, i worked properly as far as I can tell. I was able to capture pictures/videos in Apple Photo Booth and webcamtests.com worked fine.

Does it show up as a disconnected device, if you switch to Windows?

Step 3 should not be required. Also, if you do it without step 3, does your ProctorU test work?

Interesting! Microphone works, but not the Camera. Is Windows Firewall enabled? You should check them.

Can you look for any events in Windows Event Viewer related to USB or PnP devices?
