Uploading videos to send via Message+

I am trying to upload and send, 4.0+ minute videos using Message+. When the screen on my iOS 7 goes dark the process stops. How do I extend any time limits that may apply to complete the process? (Note that the wifi signal isn't fast in the country where I live.)

iPhone 7, iOS 13

If the upload is stopping when your screen goes dark, here's some suggestions:

1) Plug the phone in to power before doing the upload. This should leave wifi on when the screen locks and may keep the upload going

2) If #1 doesn't work, go to Settings>Display and Brightness. Change Auto-lock to Never.

Plug in your phone & upload the video. Once finished, change your Auto-lock setting back to the shorter time.
