Last week I purchased the Apple TV 4K. I managed to install it and set it up, but I have some problems with the remote.
I can't control the volume of my TV from the bed, only from a maximum 1 m distance. CEC is on, I can turn on the TV with the Apple Remote.
I tried to re-pair it, deleting the remote and re-learning it didn't help.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Volume control on TV requires IR. You can only use CEC when using a supported receiver. In order for it to work via IR you would need to be in line of sight for the components to communicate effectively.
Thanks for the answer. Nothing obscures the line of sight. Interestingly, the remote won't work from like 3-4 centimetres from the TV, neither from a longer distance than 1 metre.
Above you said you could operate it from a max distance of 1M, which would be normal. What has changed since then?
