I just got a new tv today and when I go on the apple app it just says loading then turns off

What TV would that be?

Apple TV app-supported devices - Apple Support


“loading”

- Check for app updates.

- Check for OS updates/firmware updates for the TV.

- Verify the network connectivity. If it can’t reach the servers, then loading will not succeed.

- Do not use VPNs or non-standard DNS settings.

- Verify the time and date settings, and time zone. Secure connections require reasonably accurate timestamps between client and server.


If you can't stream or watch movies or TV shows from the Apple TV app - Apple Support
