Front Camera not working following IOS 13.4 update

Man this bug is awful. I buy, repair, and sell phones and I just recently sold a phone they had this issue. I checked everything out with full diagnosis and testing before I put it up for sale. They set the phone up that night and messaged me saying that their camera works fine on camera app but not on any 3rd party apps. I told her 3 different things to try only to find this thread and realize it’s totally a software issue. Y’all, don’t let Apple con you into paying for the repair. It’s not your phone; it’s not you. We just have to wait for a update to be released.

i fixed mine by buying a replacement screen w/ camera on amazon.

If you are using third party apps, you need to make sure they have been updated to be compatible with the latest OS version. That may be on the third party app, not the camera.

It's not your phone and I hope someone from Apple is reading this. When I had this problem, I was advised that it must be a hardware problem with my phone and I got a brand new one. Guess what? The problem was still there!! That's when I went digging on google and found others with the same problem and linked it to the IOS update. Now here's the next interesting piece. My camera magically started working about 2 weeks later and I didn't do anything! I wish I could pinpoint a new app or setting but don't remember doing any changes whatsover. So still a mystery and the front camera luckily is still working. Apple, are you reading this??

No, it has not been fixed yet.

Did you give the feedback? Please do so, as I mentioned above.

Today, same happened here. Frontal camera doesn’t work (it freezes ) but faceid does work!!!!! On photo app or 3rd party app, camera doesn’t work, it freezes, but I can change to the back camera , and faceid does work! This is definitely sw bug.

Nothing has changed. They need to update it. My front camera doesnt work and it keeps telling me to restore my phone. It's so annoying. I cant go on my front camera on snap and ig etc but normal camera is normal

same thing is happening to me hopefully they fix it soon

It’s not the apps or the camera it’s Apple and their update.
