my apple id wont let me sign into a new phone

so i got a new moms used phone and every time i try to sign in with my apple ID it says "email used by another apple ID" "the email address is not available. Choose a different address"

I've been looking at what i can do to my account but so far ive been going in circles

Appleid not available Hello. I had my appleid. I was setting up a new appleid for my daughter for my old iphone, and unfortunately that changed my appleid completely. I tried to restore the original appleid but it said that my email is not available.

Have a new iPad and can't use my email address I updated my password for my Apple ID and it won't let me sign in to my new ipad with this email or another email and all I do is keep going in circles. The ipads are very user-UNfriendly. How can I do anything on my new ipad without being able to sign in?

Do you have another email address you can use as your Apple ID? Note the restrictions in the article.

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support I suggest doing this before you change your Apple ID or password.
