iMessage is showing my mom's messages and not mine on my Mac Book air

Hey there!

Does anybody know how to get my messages to start showing up on my Mac Book? I checked my Apple ID and it is mine...I really don't know why I keep getting my mom's messages.

Any suggestions on what to do?

You are getting your Mom's text messages on your MacBook Air. You are not getting your own text messages on your MacBook Air. The single most important factor to maintain text message forwarding between two devices is the requirement to use the same Apple ID.

Since you are getting your Mom's text messages on your MacBook Air then your MacBook Air and her iPhone is using the same Apple ID. Verify this and have your Mom use her own Apple ID.

To get your own text messages from your iPhone to your MacBook Air, you will need ensure that your iPhone and your MacBook Air is also using the same Apple ID (Your Apple ID).
