Why is my MacBook suddenly overheating while on safari?

I never had issues with safari making my MacBook overheat except when I browse H & M (on chrome it works fine).

Since earlier yesterday, whenever I go on safari to browse anything (literally anything), the machine overheats and you can hear the fans freaking out.

What am I supposed to do?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Update: I realized my laptop started overheating after I had turned on iCloud for safari on both my iPhone as well as MacBook. Once I turned it off, my laptop went back to normal.

H & M ???

I certainly would try a different browser and compare results.

You can easily try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

To trouble shoot further you can:

Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc. Login and test. Reboot and test as caches get rebuilt.

In Safe mode third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled, it removes malware, etc hampering smooth operation, however a reboot will put it back to normal mode.

This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

Test issue in another user (or guest user) account  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried resetting the SMC but nothing.

Then I created a guest account and it doesn't overheat while on safari there.

I tried chrome on my actual account and it doesn't happen there either.

I haven't tried safe boot yet because I just wanted to update you in case you have anything else to suggest before I do so.
