Lightning Digital AV Adapter Half works

I mirror my phone on my computer using this adapter. Since I first used this (about the start of January) up until 2 days ago (20-04-28), it worked fine with barely no issues. I stream online and haven't streamed for the past days dates. So starting today, I plugged my phone into my Elgato 60pro and I get no video on OBS (Open Broadcast software). The odd thing is, I can still charge my phone while connecting to the AV adapter. I restarted my phone and PC, unplugged my HDMI cables (not the problem, they still work). I deactivated the device on my OBS and re-activated it. I had to do that several times before this and it worked but today I couldn't see any video.

The charger is compatible to the phone because I've been using it more several months.

The HDMI cable works. there are no converters.

The phone is updated.

The charger port works still but the Video port doesn't work anymore.

Hi,

  1. Did you tried to connect this iphone via this adapter to regular tv and see if you can simply mirror?
  2. Sometimes with HDMI the order of enabling devices is important. What i mean try to connect the whole chain in different orders. With HDMI there is quite some negotiation going on in the background so if something fails it can happen it is not going to recover by it self. But if you connect this in different order it works. So try to break your habbit and start with different device than usual and then enable and connect next.

ok, what I meant was :

  1. can you connect iphone via adapter to other video display maybe your monitr for pc has that input? To make sure it produce output with the cable and adapter at all
  2. maybe connect hdmi to elegato than to adapter and after all this connect iphone. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense but makes the magic 😉
