Make Desktop and Documents under Hard drive not iCloud

Hello,

I want to use desktop but make it not iCloud. Documents and Desktop is under iCloud but I want it under my Mac hard drive. Is there a way to keep putting documents on the desktop but not under iCloud?

Hello eth_zac,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have a question about saving your documents to your Desktop rather than iCloud. I'd be happy to share information that may help.

In order to save directly to your Desktop, you'll want to turn off that feature in iCloud. You can find the steps under the "Turn off Desktop and Documents" section of this article for the steps: Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive.

Take care.
