Differences After Syncing Apple Music Library

I have synced my entire Apple Music Library on my MBP with the Cloud. Then I activated “Sync Library” on iPhone and iPad.

There is an unexplainable difference between my MBP and my iPad:

MBP shows 937 albums, iPad shows 926 albums

MBP shows 10’483 songs, iPad shows 10’465 songs

On iPhone the number of albums and songs is not being displayed or at least, I can’t find it.

Why does my iPad show 11 albums and 18 songs less compared to my MBP? And how can I find out, what these differences are?

iPad Air, iPadOS 13

Differences were mainly due to digital booklets on my Mac (listed under Songs), that are NOT being synced to my iPhone and my iPad. And some music videos in the new Music app (former iTunes) are listed in Music Videos vs. listed under albums on iPad. So there still seems to be room for improvement for Apple in making the Music app on macOS and the Music app on iOS/iPadOS more alike.

Hi airwalker,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you are missing some songs on your iPad when comparing your music collection totals with your MacBook. I'd like to help.

It sounds like you did a good job getting Sync Library turned on across any device signed in and using Apple Music. Please take a look over this support article, which may help you discover why you are missing songs from your music library: If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library - Apple Support.

Best regards.
