The sd card I use is nog recognised bij iPhoto when I place it in the Card reader. It is also not recognised in the card reader from another MacBook Pro. What can I do to download my photos from the SD card?
Is it possible that this problem has occured because I have formatted the card in my camera?

I would try to transfer via USB, and then try a new card.
Usually it is because you did *not* format the card in the camera.
Can you see it on the desk top? Can you access your images from there?
You are very welcome. You still might want to try another card. I wouldn't trust that one.
No, just get a USB cable that attaches to the Camera, probably the same kind to hook up a cell phone. No card reader needed. I always just plug my Canon's directly into the computer via USB. iPhoto should just open to download the images.
