iPhone 8 sound cutting out during calls

The sound on my iPhone 8 cuts out during calls - the person I’m talking to can hear me but I can’t hear them. I’ve had my phone for about 2 years. If I hang up & call back, it usually solves the problem, but sometimes I have to call back multiple times. Any ideas?
