Iphone XR Broken Screen - Need to Create Backup for New Phone - Can't Unlock Phone! Please Help

I recently dropped my phone. I know it's trusted on my computer, but iTunes won't recognize it until I unlock my phone. The broken screen will not let me unlock the phone, so I'm struggling to find an alternative. Can anyone please point me in the direction of how to unlock my iPhone without using the screen? Thank you!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re unable to create a backup using iTunes due to not being able to enter your iPhone passcode. I’m happy to provide some information.


As it turns out, there’s not an alternative for unlocking your device. I suggest taking a look at the article below for locating existing backups to see if you have a recent one already created:
