Itunes, music, etc

I was wondering,

right now i am an imusic user (i pay the monthly fee), but im confused, because whenever i open the itunes store, the music would have its own price.. i thought by paying the monthly fee of the imusic, i could play any songs on the itune store freely.. as in i could use the music on certain editing apps..

please help me, i am confused

To access the music you ‘paid for’ by subscribing to Apple Music you need to use the Apple Music app. If you go to the iTunes Store you see the music you can purchase. To use music in let’s say iMovies, you physically have to own the music aka purchasing it through iTunes. Songs downloaded with an Apple Music subscription cannot be used for anything else but listening to it.

The Apple Music Subscription and the iTunes Store are 2 different things.

The Apple Music subscription service gives you access to the Apple Music Catalog. It does not make everything in the iTunes store free.

To access the Apple Music Catalog, open the Music App on your iPhone (not the iTunes Store App), and go to the "For You" and "Browse" tabs there. You can stream and download any music from there if you are a subscriber.

You cannot however use Apple Music tracks in things like Garageband or iMovie or other editing apps as you don't actually own the music from the subscription service, you only have access to them while you are subscribed.

To use tracks in editing apps, they must be purchased from the iTunes store.
