interrupted file transfer when iPhone locks while connected to PC

More of a comment/complaint because this has to be the most irritating thing. I am transferring pictures/video from my iPhone 8 to my Windows 10 PC. File transfer starts and is going fine then the phone locks interrupting the transfer. Yes I can set the phone to never lock but is ridiculous that it does this in middle of a transfer when connected to my PC. This should not happen.

Hi PCJunkie123,

I understand that you are having an issue with an interruption during a file transfer from your iPhone to your PC when the phone goes to sleep. I can see how that can be irritating. And you are right, the display does not need to be awake for a file transfer to complete. There are several variables that may be causing the issue. In order to narrow this down I would suggest you try the following:

Try plugging the lightning cable into a different USB port and attempt the transfer again.
Restart the computer and try again.
Try using a different lightning cable to perform the transfer.
