My phone keeps displaying a message saying that it is unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine apple battery. It also keeps turning itself off and restarting. Can someone tell me how I can fix this?

iPhone 6s, iOS 12

If you never had this iPhone repaired, then it sounds like a hardware problem. I would start by contacting Apple Support using the link in the top right hand corner of this page.

Have you ever had the battery replaced on this device? Was it done by Apple?

No. I have had the back replaced though.

Every time I try to get into Apple support it comes up with an error message.

What do you mean you had the back replaced. Apple would not replace the back of an iPhone. Was this done by a 3rd party? If so, then Apple will not work on that device any longer.
