iMac Hard Drive switch to SSD of 3Gb/s Upgrade
I was wondering if there was a way that I could install a fast 3Gb/s SSD which is not SATA onto my iMac. I heard that there was a special slot for the iMac of late 2015 which would allows such speeds. I know someone who has the same iMac as I do except they have a fusion drive instead of a hard drive which has a speed of 1 Gb/s. 1 Gb/s is fine too, I am trying to my computer to go super fast because right now it is awfully slow to load things. If there is such a slot for my iMac, could you please provide me with an ssd that would work with the slot that I am talking about and provide me with a guide of how to add an SSD of such type. I am not certain but I think the slot that I am talking about is called a blade ssd port, not sure.
Here are the specs of my computer:
iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
1 TB SATA Disk
8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M380 2 GB
3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
iMac 27", macOS 10.15
