Charging your Iphone 11 Pro Max

Normally, I charge my phone overnight, however over the past few days, when I go charge my phone when I go to sleep, my phone is at 80+ percent so I don’t charge it. I normally charge my phone whenever I have to or when the phone is low on battery. I want to protect and get the most of the battery. Should I charge my phone overnight, no matter what percentage it is at or is it bad for the battery?
