Transitions & Effects on FCPX

I have downloaded transitions, effects, and mLuts from a website and installed them into the folder I was told. I restarted FCPX, but it's not showing up. Am I doing something wrong? Or does the trial version not allow this? I have discovered, and it seems to be documented, that I can't install sound effects on the trial version, but I haven't seen anything about the visual effects?

The trial version should be *fully* functional!

Explicit installation instructions are here (a video is included)

I created this FAQ to answer questions a user might have about installation details here:

https://fcpxtemplates.com/installation-faq/

Hopefully it explains well enough the reasons for all of the steps for installation.

As a final question here, I've found this on the Final Cuts Pro trial website:

Does the Final Cut Pro X trial have any limitations?
The Final Cut Pro Additional Content, which includes supplemental content for use in your projects, isn’t available in the Final Cut Pro X trial.

Does that mean I cannot install sound effects? If I can, where do I put that? The video I saw said to put it in this folder directory: HD > Library > Audio > Apple Loops > Apple > Into a folder that is for FCPX, but I have no folder that is here, so I'm wondering if that was old advice?

FCPX trial not allowing downloading additional content doesn't specifically mean it won't work with already installed sound files.

Since I have never used a trial version, I don't know if the following will work:

If your sound effects/music files (that aren't subject to DRM) are located in a folder on your system somewhere, make an alias of that folder. Then move the Alias into:

/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Final Cut Pro Sound Effects [you may have to create this folder].

I have a ton of old Jam Pack sounds I bought years ago. They generally exist in

/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/* and I just made aliases of *these* folders (example: Jam Pack Remix Tools, Jam Pack Rhythm Section, etc.) and moved the aliases into the Final Cut Pro Sound Effects Folder making those older files available to FCPX without having to duplicate them.

Depending on the number of files you have available, be aware that it can take FCPX **several minutes** to actually begin to display them in the audio browser, so don't be put off if you don't see them right away.
