My playlists/album playlists/live concerts aren't syncing in the correct order from the first song to the last song. When I view them on my iPod Touch they are listed from the last song to the first song. Is there a way to fix this? I would like to listen to the songs sequentially especially the albums rather than random shuffle all the time. I'm using a 21 inch iMac with Catalina.

I think I fixed my album playlist issues. I deleted all of them. When creating the new album playlists I changed the phrasing from the word Album "contains" to Album "is" and choose the copy to play option one time and sync the ipod and that is working. So far so good.

Thank you providing more information. I am wondering since the playlists are in the correct order on the Mac, have you tried deleting from the iPod and syncing it again?
If that does not resolve the issue, I suggest contacting Apple Support for next steps.

I think it could be worth trying to see if that helps. The "copy to play order" should sync the playlist in order.

Did your create all of the playlists?
Does this occur with all playlists?
Are the albums purchased from the iTunes Store or imported from a CD?

Thanks for responding, Alex. I have a variety of smart playlists. The ones that aren't working mostly are album smart playlists that have songs sorted in sequential order (1-8, 1-12) & live concerts (1-25, 1-30) as examples. I'll try to post a couple screenshots.
I can probably just delete the playlist and recreate it but here's an example. Here's a smart playlist. On the iPod touch it goes from the last song to the first song. In the Music app is the correct order.
Most of the songs in the library are cd imports when iTunes started. The live shows are purchased online.
I can certainly try that. I've usually just run the sync and after 2-3 syncs the playlists would correct themselves. What does the "copy to play order" do?
It also helpful to turn off live updating on any smartlists that don't get updated & select copy to play order. I got it. Thank you!
If I also change the playlist to View as Songs I can sort by playlist order as well.
