Silly question when I am logged in on my profile on wife's Mac book air I can obviously airdrop things to it, but can say the wife's phone if she wants to send me something while working on it to look at as her phone just shows waiting and doesn't send info?

Make sure you have set people in my contacts selected on the phone AND the Mac ; Have you got your wifes phone details in contacts in the Mac Contacts book?
For a dirty test set Both Iphone and Mac to Everyone and see if that works !

You have to open finder and turn ON airdrop to see the phone connection and when seen you have to accept the receipt of the file else you won’t get it for security reasons
All sorted now restarted the phone and works fine.

Ok have tried that airdrop is on and wife's phone shows on the radar but still when she sends all her phone does is says is waiting, nothing pops up on the Mac
Nope still doesn’t work. Works fine from mine but also works from hers to my phone just not the mac
