I had two years of voice memos on my iphoneXR that disappeared after the latest ios update 13.4.1. How do I get them back? My latest iphone backup was yesterday, but the files have been gone for about two weeks. Is there no way to selectively restore voice memos from icloud? My phone is backed up regularly but the voice memos were not selected to sync in itunes.

I got them back. I was able to restore them by connecting my phone to my computer, syncing it in itunes, making sure "include voice messages" was selected under music.
Were your voice memos stored in iCloud or to phrase the question differently, was iCloud turned on for voice memos?
Yes, voice memos was turned on for icloud back up
