Teacher Block on MacBook, preventing game download

Hello everyone,

I am trying to download something from Epic games and when I go to Open the Epic Games Launcher I get a message, that "bornite has been interfering with classwork, no loner permitted on the Schools MacBooks." My computer is a former school computer but I have since graduated and was allowed to keep the computer. Any idea on how to remove this block, there are no parental controls it appears.

Thank you all!

You'd have to change the admin password (root password) to change anything. You could also check to see if that website has been blocked in your web browser. Also check System Prefs, then security and Privacy then Firewall. To change the admin password, you'd have to restart, holding down the Apple(command)+R keys together until you see a language selection screen, pick one and continue. Use your mouse/trackpad to move the cursor to the top center of the screen and click. OS X Tools should show up. From there, go to Terminal and type in "resetpassword" without the quote marks. then Press Enter/return on your keyboard. That should get you to the main/admin password reset app built into the OS. from there you can change it to whatever you like. I'd suggest something you can easily remember, though password hints can be turned on.

that's it

Create a New Administrator:

Once created, log into it. Se sure to transfer data (i.e. images and documents to this new administrator. From there delete this administrator you are logged into. You should be set from there.

You would need an administrator account and password to create it. So, if your password currently works, then all changes should be able to be used.
