Connecting old displays to new mac mini

I currently use two 21" Acer monitors on my Mac Mini via VGA and Thunderbolt 2 adapters. It works well.

the monitors also have a DVI output.

Now I'm buying a new Mac Mini, but would like to keep the current displays. What would be the best connection? I'm guessing DVI to HDMI adapter and DVI to Thunderbolt 3, but I wonder if there isn't a better way. Or maybe even keeping the connection I have and adding Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapters?

thank you.
