Anyway to permanently disable window snapping feature in Mac OS?
Since upgrading from El Capitan to Sierra, there is now a window snapping feature while moving windows around the desktop. I feel like this is a very annoying, un-needed and totally moronic addition to the windowing system, yet there is absolutely no way to permanently disable it. Yes, you can momentarily defeat it by holding down the option key. However, what is really needed is a configuration option which will completely get rid of it (and perhaps also fire the person at Apple who added this feature in the first place might not be a bad idea).
Has anyone run across an app which will allow some sort of configuration to bypass this nonsense?
Or if any Unix or Apple developers come across this thread, does anyone know off hand what variable or service or where to start looking as far as perhaps coding some simple Unix command line program or something which will bypass this stupid windows snapping feature which has been added?
The feature serves absolutely no purpose for anyone moving around their windows. Maybe on a Mac Book it's helpful, but on a 27" iMac, all is does it stick your windows together too close and make moving windows or attempting to relocate windows on the desktop a complete nightmare.
