Purchased song missing from iTunes all of a sudden

I purchased an album (Classic Queen) years ago on iTunes. Just noticed my favorite song (Radio Ga-Ga) is missing on my Mac. I went to iTunes=>Purchased=>Not in My Library =>Songs and it is there. But there is no cloud symbol next to it. How do I re-download it? Rest of the album is in iTunes. Odd thing is that the song is on my iPhone. I have re-synced it multiple times to the Mac and it still doesn't show up on the Mac. Just the iPhone. No problem with rest of the songs on this or any other album on my Mac/iTunes. Notice how the Album is missing Song #7.......I'm confused. Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the feedback but I did all three suggestions and it did not work. Here's what it looks like when I started the Mac in safe mode. The cloud is missing from Radio Ga-Ga so I'm not able to download. Compare that to what the album song list looks like on my iPhone where I can see & play the song.

Hello baek4life,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand there are issues downloading a song and will do what I can to help.

Here are some suggestions:

  • Control-click to see if any options appear that allow for downloading.
  • Restart your Mac from the Apple () menu then Restart. Try downloading the song again.
  • Start the Mac up in safe mode to see if the song can download there: : How to use safe mode on your Mac

Best regards.

In general you may redownload unhidden past purchases from the store on demand. An exception to this is when the rights holder in the region where you made the purchase decide to withdraw the content from the store. This can happen without warning. Potentially the distribution rights for that track might have changed hands in the region concerned.

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - Apple Community. iFunBox might allow you to copy out the working copy of the track if iTunes won't do it for you.

Thanks for the feedback. Attached below is what Hidden Purchases looks like. It says there is nothing hidden. Also, Transferring Purchases did nothing. iTunes purchase records show that I purchased the album (Classic Queen) on the Mac. It's so weird. Only one song is gone from the album. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but when I click on the Album under Purchased->Not in My Library->Songs, I get a pop-up msg that says "Item Not Available" in the US store. I've contacted Apple Support but they haven't provided a solution yet.
