I need to free up disk space on my Windows 10 PC. I went to iTunes->Edit->Preferences->Advanced->iTunes Media folder location and changed the location. When I close and reopen iTunes and check this setting, it had reverted to the original location such as before I changed it. How do I move iTunes files to another location?

See Make a split library portable - Apple Community. There is a bug in recent builds that prevents an updated media folder preference from being saved in some circumstances. Moving the entire library as a unit when it is in the portable shape still works and is a better approach when it comes to backing up and future moves.

The part that says, "Change where imported files are stored", is the part I needed, but have already done, that I described in my post, that doesn't work. When I come back to Edit->Preferences->Advanced, the location is changed to what it was originally, as I said.
