How to update efi firmware.

I want to install windows 10 on my old macbook air (mid 2012 or 2013 model) but it stucks with black screen. I searched and found that efi firmware 2.7 fixes this but i can update my firmware it always says "This software is not supported on your system." I have 10.8.5. Please help.

MacOS 12.1 Update fails After rebooting to instsall MacOS 12.1 I get the following window (translated from Dutch to English): A required firmware-update could not be installed. To update, a compatible internal storga device is necessary. ?? The internal SSD is the original one . . . Does anyone have the same problem?

High Sierra install hanging on firmware update I am attempting to do a fresh install of High Sierra on a 5,1 Mac Pro. We cannot get past the "a firmware update is required." I know it is supposed to take a "few minutes", but there is no progress after 60 minutes. Perhaps there a step by step guide on what to do from this point? All help is appreciated.

That firmware update applies only to mid-2013 models.
