Does factory resetting my old phone effect my new iPhone, iPad etc that is paired to the phone.

I would like to factory reset my iPhone 5s so I can hand on to someone else , but concerned that on doing so will erase all the Data on my new iPhone, iPad etc that is paired to my old phone.

I presume I’ve used the correct term paired. Its when I take a photo on phone and it goes to my iPad, or text that I send are on say my phone and iPad and my contacts on both devices are updated simultaneously.

Hence my concern if I say Delete all when doing a Factory Rest. I don’t want to it effect my other devices.

Thank you for any advice in advance.

To be clear for you... iOS devices do not pair to each other. They each may be connected to the same Apple ID.

This means they share data and content, but through Apple's servers, not directly with each other.

A factory reset of your device will not remove any data from your account, only the device being reset.
