I have a 12.9 iPad Pro with a Smart Keyboard Folio. It's not working, it makes no impression at all. I've cleaned the connectors. I've restarted. Any other fixes?

So, basically, call Apple Support. Which is becoming less and less useful.
When we pay 400 bucks for a 'smart' keyboard, we kind of expect it to not go kaput in a year.
