Refresh rate Dell u4320q with USB-C (with and without DP connection)

Hi all,

I have a Dell U4320Q connected to a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019).

If I connect it through only USB-C I get 3840x2160 at 30 HZ through the USB-C connection.

If I connect it additionally through a USB-C -> DisplayPort adapter/cable I get 3840x2160 at 60 HZ on BOTH the USB-C and the DisplayPort connection (the display is then seen as 2 displays which is annoying)

Any ideas how to resolve this? Idealy by having the display connected through USB-C AND getting 3840x2160 at 60 HZ. Second best solution getting 3840x2160 at 60 HZ through DP and using USB-C only for the data connection. It could also be a DELL problem?

Regards,

Claudius

I think the U4320Q only supports 60hz in USB 2.0 mode: https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-us/sln321048/using-a-dell-ultrasharp-usb-c-monitor-with-a-mac?lang=en

Check out the solution in this post. Different monitor but I bet it's a similar issue: https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/U2720Q-MacBook-Pro-29Hz/td-p/7532811

"Also note that I am unable to get USB 3 and 60hz, it only works in USB 2 mode (called "High Resolution" in the "USB-C Prioritization" OSD menu)."
