Screen on iPhone 11 Pro Max goes black when phone call connects.

Is this happening when you put it up to your ear? If so, that is what it is supposed to do. There is a proximity sensor at the top of the phone to make that happen to prevent stray touch on the screen. Do you have a screen protector on the phone, or a case?
