AirPods Pro Heating Up

the left side of my AirPods Pro started heating up really badly and now it can't be connected even after I reset and reconnect to my phone. The heating up occurred again a few hours later even when I haven't used the AirPods in the past few hours. I removed the AirPods from the case but every time I place the left side in, it will start heating up after a while. I have also tried connecting to different devices all of which cannot detect the left side. I also tried to find apple support for help but the support page leads me to a "403 Forbidden" page instead of a booking page. Please help. (I couldn't find the AirPods Pro option under devices)
