playimg steam games on new 2020 Mac Book Pro

So I’ve been looking for threads regarding this question and have found no concrete answer so I’ll ask this....

all I own are Apple products, no windows stuff but I’m ditching my PlayStation and switching to PC games and I also need a new laptop so perfect timing. Of course I want to buy the new MAC Book Pro and use it for gaming also but on the steam store most of the AAA games are windows only, very few for OS, so I figure I have to do what ?

partition my hard drive and install windows on it just for gaming

or

is there some sort of emulator I can install instead of partitioning and installing windows

or

Some other option

most posts about this are from 3-11 years old.

You can use Macs for gaming, but there is thermal throttling that may get in the way. If you can, get a new Mac, install Windows, and test it for the time that is available in your permitted return window. If you do not like what you observe, you can return your Mac.

Instead of using a Mac, and running Windows (Bootcamp or VM), a PC may be a better choice. The Mac laptops are 'mobile' GPUs, not Desktop GPUs. There are known issues with AMD drivers on the Windows side. Intel GPUs may not be ideal for gaming, but may be an option on PCs.
