Any search manager/service

The Anysearch manager is on my Mac. I have removed it as a profile, and removed it as an extension in the system settings and on my internet browser, and removed it as a search engine and default browser. It repeatedly returns, and my whole computer now runs extremely slowly or completely freezes.

every few 30seconds-2mins the computer asks

“ Do you want the application ‘AnySearchService’ to accept incoming network conbections “

what are my options?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

I understand you not knowing who to trust & where to download software, but these 2 are recommended by Apple themselves as well as many experienced helpers here & are both safe...

Scrap that.... I went through the chrome preferences and found it and manually deleted it. I THINK the problem is now solved. Thanks all.

ive used the Malwarebytes. Anysearch is still attempting to be used as my default search engine. The browser is blocking it. But when I first open the browser it still attempts to go to the Anysearch site.

Thanks I’ll look it up. I’m also cautious about legitimacy of downloading ‘helpful’ software and applications. Can you tell me more?

I’m having the same issues. I’m running High Sierra. I can’t set the homepage and it keeps resetting to http://ikgsearch4395....... etc. I’ve run Malwarebytes and it’s not picking anything up. I’ve run through the extensions and that is clear. Any further advice?
