Is something wrong with app specific passwords?

All of my apps requiring app specific passwords are failing. I've tried rebooting and revoking all passwords, then putting new ones in, and just keep getting "unable to authenticate" or "account and password don't match" (messages vary slightly from app to app).


This happened right after updating to Catalina 10.15.5 (19F96)

There was a server problem that now appears to be fixed.
