Geo Location on Photos is tagging incorrect location

For a while now, my photos in my iphone are automatically being tagged with a location in Ta-Li-Chi, China. How do I change this?

Hi glee5,

Thanks for your follow up. Based off what you are describing I would recommend that you perform a backup of your iPhone followed by performing a restore of your device. Below are a couple resources that will help you with this process.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Hi glee5,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand you are having an issue with your photos populating an incorrect geotag. I'd be happy to assist.

If you don't might answering a few questions I may be able to better assist you:

  • What application are you using to take the photos?
  • Are there any photos that are properly tagged?
  • Does it matter where the photos are taken? Or is it only in a select location that they are improperly tagged?

Looking forward to your response.

Enjoy.
